Women’s Basketball Coach Job Description:
The University of North Carolina at Greensboro, a member of the Southern Conference, seeks applicants for a Director of Women’s Basketball Operations/Summer Camp Coach. The Director’s responsibilities are restricted and defined by NCAA rules and guidelines.
Administrative duties include organizing team travel arrangements, intersession and holiday housing and meals for all student athletes, assisting with on-campus recruiting within NCAA guidelines for prospective student athletes, DVD film exchange per Southern Conference and WBCA guidelines, assisting with purchases of all equipment including uniforms, office supplies, audio visual and editing equipment, assist in supervision of team academic progress, day-to-day office management and working with facilities scheduling.
The Director will participate as coach and administrator for all women’s basketball camp programs, including player development and coaching development of elementary, middle school and high school students and coaches. The Director must be knowledgeable of NCAA recruiting rules and guidelines and will complete on an annual basis the NCAA Recruiting Certification test to stay abreast of current guidelines.
A bachelor’s degree is required. Prior Intercollegiate participation and/or coaching experience is preferred. The position also requires someone with initiative and an energy level that will enable the individual to work long hours. The position does include evening and weekend assignments. This is a full-time, non-teaching, 12-month position. The position is available July 15, 2012. Deadline for applications is June 26, 2012 or until position is filled.
