Women’s Basketball Coach Job Description:
Oglethorpe University, a NCAA Division III member of the Southern Athletic Association, located in Atlanta, GA invites applications for the position of assistant coach in women’s basketball.
Responsibilities include assisting the head coach in all aspects of daily operations of the program including, but not limited to: practice and in-game coaching, on and off campus recruiting, film exchange, practice and game scheduling, and team travel. A second duty within the athletic department will be included with this position.
This is a ten month position starting August 1st, 2012.
A review of qualified candidates will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled.

Candidates must demonstrate a strong commitment to the academic success of student-athletes, show the ability to recruit, develop and motivate quality student-athletes, possess good communication and leadership skills, and a knowledge of and commitment to all university, Southern Athletic Association, and NCAA regulations. A bachelor’s degree is required, previous women’s basketball coaching and playing experience is preferred.
