Women’s Basketball Coach Job Description:

RESPONSIBILITIES: The University of Vermont is accepting applications for the position of Assistant Women’s Basketball Coach. The Assistant Coach is responsible for supporting the Head Coach in all phases of a highly competitive Division I women’s basketball program including but not limited to, practice and game preparation, recruiting, budget management, alumni and public relations, and adherence to the rules of the NCAA, America East and the University of Vermont. The candidate must be committed to the student-athlete’s academic, personal, and athletic growth and development, and demonstrate the ability to successfully recruit and motivate Division I student-athletes.

Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution; 1-3 years of successful collegiate coaching experience, preferably at the Division I level; extensive recruiting experience; strong communication and interpersonal skills; a record of integrity and leadership; a willingness and desire to advance the Department of Athletics’ vision and goals; a demonstrated commitment to issues of social justice and diversity and a commitment to the academic success and graduation of student-athletes.
