Basketball Coach Job Description:
- Video tapes practices and games;
- edits and provides scout tape to coaching staff;
- maintains and repairs video equipment;
- organizes film trade;
- and produces game, recruiting, and season end highlight videos.
Basketball Coach Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree plus at least two years of experience with video production equipment required.
- Understanding of the sport of men’sbasketball in order to video tape correct scouting information, formations, and game situations preferred.
- Knowledge and use of Sports Code editing software, Gametape Exchange software, and Synergy software also preferred.
- Frequent travel and evening and weekend work necessary.
- Student experience will be considered.
- Position is an academic year plus eight-week summer session work schedule.
- The successful candidate must abide by the rules of the NCAA, the Missouri Valley Conference, and the University of Northern Iowa.
- Criminal and other relevant background checks required.
