BASKETBALL COACH JOB DESCRIPTION: Piedmont College, an NCAA Division-III member of the USA South Athletic Conference, seeks qualified applicants for three graduate assistant coaching positions in:
1. Men’s Basketball
2. Women’s Softball (Fast Pitch Pitching Background Preferable)
3. Men’s & Women’s Golf
Responsibilities of each position may include but are not restricted to recruiting academically and athletically qualified student-athletes, practice organization, strength and conditioning, game-day operations, match coaching, opponent scouting, player development, camps/tournaments, the daily overall operation of the program, tape exchange and editing, and other tasks assigned by the head coach.
Successful candidates must be able to follow the requirements of NCAA Division III, the USA South Athletic Conference, and the mission of Piedmont College; must be able to communicate effectively and foster positive relations with prospective and enrolled student-athletes, fellow coaches, athletics and college administration, and the general public; and have a clear understanding of the role of athletics within the college community.
Interested applicants should be interested in receiving a post-graduate degree (MBA or Education). Review of credentials will begin immediately and continue until each position is filled.
Additional Salary Information: Each position is a two-year commitment. Compensation includes 24 Graduate school credits at Piedmont annually plus a ten-month annual stipend in the amount of $ 7,200
Requirements include: Proof of graduation from an accredited institution of higher learning with a relevant degree; Acceptance into the graduate program of Piedmont College; Ability to re-locate to the northeast Georgia area to begin employment no later than August 1, 2012.
