Essential Qualifications:
*BA/BS degree from a regionally accredited institution.
*2 years experience coaching basketball at the collegiate or junior college level.
*Demonstrated national recruiting experience.
*Demonstrated strong written communication skills.Preferred Qualifications in addition to essential:
*MA/MS degree from a regionally accredited institution.
*Working knowledge of NCAA and Northern Sun Conference rules and regulations.
*Demonstrated strong oral and interpersonal skills.

Duties/Responsibilities:
The incumbent provides support to the head coach in maintaining a highly competitive and successful Division II Men’s basketball program in a manner compatible with department and University philosophy, and in compliance with NCAA and the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference rules and regulations.Duties &
Responsibilities:
*Assist the Head Men’s Basketball Coach with game and practice planning.
*Recruiting qualified student athletes consistent with the requirements of a competitive Division II Men’s Basketball program and the academic standards of the University.
*Assist the Head Men’s Basketball Coach with video editing, analysis, and scouting.
*Assist with administrative duties as assigned.
*Assist the department in community service projects, speaking engagements, and public relations activities.
*Assist with summer basketball camps.
Program/Unit Description:
Now in its 81st year of operation, the University of Minnesota Duluth Department of Intercollegiate Athletics continues to sport one of the most competitive and well-balanced programs of its size in the country. Fourteen of UMD’s sixteen teams are members of the NCAA Division II Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference. The UMD men’s and women’s ice hockey programs, meanwhile, are aligned with the Western Collegiate Hockey Association, on the NCAA Division I circuit.
