Strength Coach Job Description:

Design and implement training protocols for assigned teams and athletes. Assist the Athletic Training Staff in rehabilitation and injury prevention as needed. Supervise the workout sessions for each team. Instruction of proper techniques for strength & conditioning. Supervision of weight room employees if applicable. Make recommendations for the purchase of new equipment. Make arrangements for maintenance and repair of equipment. Ensure safe operation and professional supervision of the facility. Primary team responsibilities will be Men’s & Women’s Basketball, Men’s & Women’s Tennis and Men’s & Women’s Golf.

A Bachelor’s degree is required.

Evidence of good communication skills. Demonstrated ability to work well with students, faculty, community, and media. Evidence of strong leadership and organizational skills.

Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) certification. Strength & Conditioning Coach Certified (SCCC). USAW certification. At least one year of full or part-time strength and conditioning coach experience at the collegiate level is preferred.
